Bunker Hill Community College Celebrates Veterans Day with Author Sebastian Junger
Award-winning journalist, documentary filmmaker and best-selling author Sebastian Junger, who saw combat while embedded with U.S. soldiers in Afghanistan, visited Bunker Hill Community College on November 12 in honor of Veterans Day. Junger shared his experiences as a war reporter and filmmaker. He has covered major international news stories for Vanity Fair and ABC News and directed the documentaries Restrepo and Korengal, based on his experiences in Afghanistan.
Film Screening Packs Auditorium at Bunker Hill Community College
Filmmaker and author Baptist de Pape visited Bunker Hill Community College (BHCC) on November 5 for a screening of his film The Power of the Heart, which ties to a book of the same name. Featuring interviews with Paulo Coelho, Maya Angelou, Deepak Chopra, Isabel Allende, Eckhart Tolle and other spiritual leaders, the film makes a case for the transformative power of the human heart.

Race Supports New Bunker Hill Community College Scholarship
More than 850 runners participated in the Boston River Run 5K on Sunday, November 8, 2015, to raise $25,000 for a scholarship at Bunker Hill Community College (BHCC). Race organizer John Narcus, who graduated from the College in 2013, announced at the start of the race that the goal had been met and BHCC President Pam Y. Eddinger gratefully acknowledged the efforts of everyone involved.
