Fall Professional Development Series Schedule
The HOPE Initiative offers professional development opportunities throughout each semester that are designed to provide faculty, staff and administrators with increased awareness of and access to best practices in the empowerment of Black, Indigenous, and Latino male students. Sessions are offered remotely to facilitate broad participation.
Beginning on Monday, October 2, 2023, HOPE will begin its Fall Professional Development Series. These sessions will serve as an excellent opportunity to contextualize and deepen our work at the college as we move forward. This semester, we will continue our exploration with the insight of our HOPE Fellows.
We will expand our work with the Open Yale Course – African American History: From Emancipation to the Present, continuing our approach with two parts: a 45-50 minute workshop focused on the overview of the content; and 20-30 minute deep dive immediately following the session designed for participants to take a deeper dive into the course content, with a focus on group discussions and real-world applications of learning.
Open Yale Course – African American History: From Emancipation to the Present Monday afternoons, 3 - 4:15 p.m.
