If selected, students will begin working at Triumvirate in a full-time 30-40 hours per week job with full benefits at a competitive hiring rate of $22 an hour (depending on prior experience).  

Students will also receive: 

  • On-the-job training with the opportunity to advance in your career within the company. 
  • Free college tuition to earn your associate degree (a $13,700 value) while employed. Pick any program of study you would like. However, if you're interested in furthering your career at Triumvirate, we recommend the AS in Environmental Science or a Business Degree.
  • Students are asked to stay employed at Triumvirate for a minimum of four years or until their college degree is done. 
  • You are encouraged to earn your degree as quickly or a slowly as you'd like. We recommend you start with just one course your first semester

Essential responsibilities and duties include:

  • Travel to customer facilities to collect waste containers containing hazardous materials
  • Safe pick-up of all regulated medical waste and materials from client sites, also including  lab plastics and pathological waste
  • Use of Triumvirate's computerized waste tracking system
  • Preparation of all necessary documentation for the pick-up and drop-off of waste
  • Understand OSHA regulations and Triumvirate’s Health and Safety Practices
  • Interact with coworkers in a team environment

Required qualifications:

  • High School diploma/GED or higher degree
  • Ability to work as a team player
  • Eagerness to learn and retain a basic knowledge of daily work practices
  • Successful completion of OSHA/DOT physical examination
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel between customer facilities
  • This is a Safety Sensitive Position

Preferred Skills:

  • Completion of 40 Hour OSHA, CPR and First Aid Training.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and computers.

  • Assisting with the onsite management of client’s hazardous waste programs (chemical and biological waste)
  • Use of Triumvirate's computerized waste tracking system
  • Understand OSHA regulations and Triumvirate’s Health and Safety Practices
  • Interact with coworkers in a team environment
  • Assisting with support of various lab needs at the client’s site, such as glassware washing/disposal, chemical reconciliation projects and management of the client’s chemical inventory
  • Gain experience and expertise in hazardous waste management and onsite support of client’s program

Required qualifications:

  • High School diploma/GED or higher degree
  • Ability to work as a team player
  • Eagerness to learn and retain a basic knowledge of daily work practices

Timeframe and Application Process

We are currently accepting applications from now into early 2023. Applicant interviews will be conducted on a rolling basis. Applicants will have to pass the initial screening process. Depending on the position, certain screening steps are needed. For example, some positions require a state CORI, Department of Transportation verification of driving status, and/or a physical. The Talent Acquisition team will guide prospective employees on their next steps. If offered a position, candidates will be on-boarded at Triumvirate and meet with an admissions counselor at BHCC to pick their program of study.
