Our financial assistance programs range from offering free tuition for certain populations to career development programs culminating in job placement. Apprenticeship Operator Hub

The Bunker Hill Apprenticeship Operator Hub will serve as a hub for the hospitality, early childhood education and technical sector of the workforce to meet the needs of employers in the Greater Boston and northeastern region of Massachusetts.

Be Mass Competitive Partnership

Through this program, candidates will receive specialized training and career-placement services leading to upwardly mobile employment opportunities at some of the Commonwealth’s largest employers. This program seeks to support and advance the successes of persons of color by providing pathways at MACP companies committed to building a diversified workforce. This opportunity is available at no cost to participants.

Medical Laboratory Science Programs

Bunker Hill Community College and Mass General Brigham have partnered to offer FOUR programs that are FREE to Boston residents only at this time. Funding is provided by the City of Boston’s Worker Empowerment- Life Sciences Workforce Development Initiative grant. Programming begins this spring and fall of 2024 to launch you into the field of Bio-Life Science!

Exploring Human Services Careers and Exploring Social Work Careers

Public Water System Operator

The “Introduction to Becoming a Public Water System Operator” is a 17.5-hour course designed to introduce individuals to the field of operating a public water system. It will assist individuals with little or no previous drinking water experience in preparing for the Grade 1 Treatment and Distribution Water Operator Examinations, as well as the Very Small System (VSS) Water Operator Examination.

Rapid Recovery & Reemployment (R3) Short-term Training

R3 is a unique opportunity that allows students or community members impacted by the COVID-19 economic downturn to get back in the game with possible financial support. Eligible participants may have access to full tuition and materials scholarships. These short-term trainings will allow a student to study over a shorter period of time, develop skills in a field, and earn an industry-recognized credential, which makes them employable quicker.

TRAIN Grant Program

TRAIN offers free career training to those who are unemployed, under-employed or new to the U.S. workforce. Students will receive a nationally recognized career readiness certification, NCRC, along with the occupational training programs (Pharmacy Tech, EMT, CNA and PC Hardware Support Specialist).

Training Opportunities Program (TOP) and Masshire Training Opportunities

The Training Opportunities Program (TOP) allows you to collect unemployment benefits while you attend full-time, approved training for new job skills. If you need to acquire new skills in order to become re-employed, you may be eligible for the Training Opportunities Program (TOP).
