Amazon has selected Bunker Hill Community College (BHCC) as one of the six colleges in the country to offer the Amazon Small Business training opportunity. Amazon Small Business Academy helps entrepreneurs gain digital strategy and brand-building skills to make their ambitions reality, through free seminars, webinars, and well as community college classes across the country.

Bunker Hill Community College (BHCC) President Pam Eddinger moderated a virtual panel discussion on May 4 as part of WORLD and WGBH’s Asian/Pacific American Heritage Month Celebration. Attended by more than 1,000 viewers, the discussion spotlighted selections from the groundbreaking PBS film series Asian Americans, chronicling the contributions and challenges of Asian Americans.

Bunker Hill Community College (BHCC) President Pam Eddinger appeared on WGBH-TV’s (Channel 2, Boston) public affairs program “Basic Black” Friday evening as part of a special segment on the effects of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic on community college students. President Eddinger described how she’s seen first-hand the impact of the digital divide on communities of color as the College shifted to remote learning this semester.

Moving full speed ahead, the Bunker Hill Community College Registered Nursing Program is celebrating a new milestone: 100 percent of its 2019 graduates passed the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nursing (NCLEX-RN).

2020 has been named the year of the nurse. Nurses are on the frontline of getting us through this pandemic. Savino, Assistant Dean, Health Sciences; and Sara Connelly, Instructional Technology, Nurse Education Department along with Loreto M. Jackson, Director, Health & Wellness; and Karen M. Norton, Executive Director, Integrated Marketing and Communications, in recognizing the vital contributions the College’s student, faculty, and alumni nurses make in the communities BHCC serves.

On Tuesday, May 19, 2020, 27 graduates from the Bunker Hill Community College (BHCC) Registered Nursing program celebrated their achievements in a virtual pinning ceremony to mark their passage from the student role to the professional role.

On Thursday, May 21, 2020, Bunker Hill Community College (BHCC) awarded 1,526 degrees and certificates to the Class of 2020 during a virtual ceremony to commemorate the 46th Commencement Exercises.
