BHCC is pleased to announce in partnership with Mass Marine Trades AssociationMercury Marine University and local employer Boston Boat Works to pilot a program for marine technician/mechanic program to meet the demands of the MA boating industry. Marine Technicians earn an average wage $35,000-40,000 per year with a growth potential of 5% across the state.

Starting October 24 to Monday, January 23, 2023

  • Monday, Tuesday and Wednesdays from 6-9 p.m.

$900* for this first cohort.

*MMTA will pay 50% of the course fee for students who are Massachusetts residents, reducing the cost down to $450. 10 Student maximum.

The program is hybrid with in–person classroom instruction, remote synchronous, asynchronous instruction and onsite technical instruction.

This program is for entry-level participants with little or no experience in the field. Previous experience is desirable but not necessary. Interested participants should have a High School diploma/equivalent or 1-3 years experience in the field.


This program qualifies for R3 funding for qualified applicants, limited seats, first-come-first service
