Marine Technician Program
Introduction to Marine Outboard Systems
BHCC is pleased to announce in partnership with Mass Marine Trades Association, Mercury Marine University and local employer Boston Boat Works to pilot a program for marine technician/mechanic program to meet the demands of the MA boating industry. Marine Technicians earn an average wage $35,000-40,000 per year with a growth potential of 5% across the state.
Starting June 7, 2022 - August 18, 2022
- Tuesdays 3-6 p.m
- Wednesdays 3-6 p.m
- Thursdays 3-6 p.m.
Tuition
$900* for this first cohort.
*MMTA will pay 50% of the course fee for students who are Massachusetts residents, reducing the cost down to $450. 10 Student maximum.

The program is hybrid with in–person classroom instruction, remote synchronous, asynchronous instruction and onsite technical instruction.
This program is for entry-level participants with little or no experience in the field. Previous experience is desirable but not necessary. Interested participants should have a High School diploma/equivalent or 1-3 years experience in the field.
