July 2 – September 28, 2018 Library and Learning Commons, 3rd Floor E Building, Charlestown Campus Viewing Hours: July and August, Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. September, Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 8 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. David Goldman was born in Boston and grew up in Chelsea, Massachusetts. He started painting at an early age, and had his first solo exhibit at 16 years old. Later, his work was influenced by the renowned artists Morton Sacks, Iso Papo, Reed Kay, David Aronson, John Wilson, James Weeks and Philip Guston, under whom he studied at Boston University, and where he earned both his BFA in Studio Art and his MFA in painting. Encouraged by Guston, David studied the Italian Masters in Italy upon receiving a prestigious Fulbright-Lusk Fellowship. He has lived and worked in Europe, and presently resides in the Boston area, where he also teaches drawing, art history and design.
