Transfer 101 - Planning and Exploring

Students should complete Transfer 101 before attending Transfer 102.
(Recommended for students with 0-30 credits)
This workshop will focus on the first two stages of transferring: Planning and Exploring. Students will receive an overview of statewide transfer programs and incentives, how to transfer credits, searching for colleges, and other resources to clarify the transfer process. Recommended for students who are learning about transferring for the first time. Its never too early to begin thinking about transfer!
The purpose of this group is to acquire and practice standardized American English, while at the same time learning how to navigate life at the College as an English Language Learner and/or immigrant. We will talk about the best language learning methods, along with strategies for dealing with coursework, professors, classmates, registration, transfer and career planning, financial issues, and much more. We discuss many of the challenges of life at the College, as well the ways to take advantage of the many opportunities that exist at Bunker Hill as well. The group is open to all students.

(Recommended for students with 30-60 credits and who have attended the Transfer 101 Workshop) Are you getting close to graduating? This workshop will focus on the final two stages of transferring: Applying and Deciding. Topics that will be covered include: applying to four-year colleges and making informed decisions on which colleges to attend, requesting letters of recommendations, writing your transfer essays, and using the Common Application.
