EEC Career Pathways

Program Overview

Bunker Hill Community College’s (BHCC) Career Pathways program is designed to help the Education workforce, and those interested in joining the field, to receive the classes and support needed to attain professional qualifications certification from the Department of Early Education and Care. BHCC offers four Education courses, all of which can be applied to EEC’s professional qualifications certification or an associate’s degree at the College. The Career Pathways classes are offered in various modalities, hybrid, online, or lecture and during flexible sessions within the academic calendar (i.e. traditional semester long courses or 7-week accelerated mini sessions).  Students in the program receive scholarships for tuition and textbooks, as well as a small stipend upon successful completion of the Education courses. Courses are offered in the evening and students have access to childcare while they are in class. In addition to coursework offered, BHCC is developing more multi-lingual course opportunities for students, providing academic and career advising in multiple languages, and CPR training.

This program is intended for current teachers and individuals interested in education careers. For more information about Education courses offered under the grant, please email careerpathways@bhcc.edu.
