Steps to Success Workshops: Educational Planning 101 - Using SelfService

This workshop will focus on using the BHCC SelfService tool for educational planning purposes. Students will learn how to navigate their Student Planning tab to understand program requirements, find their advisor assignment, and plan and register for courses. Students will learn some tips and tricks for using the Course Catalog to search for course terms, sections and formats.

This workshop will focus on the final two stages of transferring: Applying and Deciding. Topics that will be covered include: applying to four-year colleges and making informed decisions on which colleges to attend, requesting letters of recommendations, writing your transfer essays, and using the Common Application.
