Steps to Success Workshops (Recommended for students with 0-30 credits) This workshop will focus on the first two stages of transferring: Planning and Exploring. Students will receive an overview of statewide transfer programs and incentives, how to transfer credits, searching for colleges, and other resources to clarify the transfer process. Recommended for students who are learning about transferring for the first time. It’s never too early to begin thinking about transfer!

English language learners, please join Language Lab ELL/English tutor Joshua Heerter for our weekly conversation groups. We focus on pronunciation, grammar, and usual American ways of speaking. We plan to talk about important topics for BHCC students, including: registration, financial aid, career planning, on-campus jobs, communicating with professors, strategies for language learners in class, and much more! The groups are free to join, there is no registration required, and all may join for as long or as little as they wish. Dr. Robin Chandler, BHCC’s Inaugural Artist Scholar in Residence, will conduct an informal roundtable including women (and men) from the BHCC community and their partners. Come prepared to share stories, reports, and updates on your social justice efforts on behalf of women and girls. This roundtable will include a brief presentation by Chandler on progress in global women’s movements, then facilitate a conversation among attendees on what you are doing to advance the rights of women and girls.
