Transfer 101: Planning and Exploring

Transfer Services
(Recommended for students with 0-30 credits) This workshop will focus on the first two stages of transferring: Planning and Exploring. Students will receive an overview of statewide transfer programs and incentives, how to transfer credits, searching for colleges, and other resources to clarify the transfer process. English language learners, please join Language Lab ELL/English tutor Joshua Heerter and AAPI Success Coach Vivian Lin for our weekly conversation groups. We focus on pronunciation, grammar, and usual American ways of speaking. We plan to talk about important topics for BHCC students, including: registration, financial aid, career planning, on-campus jobs, communicating with professors, strategies for language learners in class, and much more! The groups are free to join, there is no registration required, and all may join for as long or as little as they wish. The Massachusetts Association of Community Colleges (MACC), in partnership with the Massachusetts Competitive Partnership (MACP), is pleased to announce the “Be Mass Competitive” workforce training initiative. MACP is a non-profit, non-partisan, 501(c)(4) public policy group comprised of chief executive officers of some of the Commonwealth’s largest businesses. Through this program, candidates will receive specialized training and career-placement services leading to upwardly-mobile employment opportunities at some of the Commonwealth’s largest employers. This program seeks to support and advance the successes of persons of color by providing pathways at MACP companies committed to building a diversified workforce. This opportunity is available at no cost to participants and stipends will be provided.
