Black History Month: Prison Chaplains on the Beat in US and UK Prisons: Caring for Aging, Dying and Dead Prisoners
Tuesday, February 8, 2022
at 6 p.m.
Join Professor George Walters-Sleyon who will present a historical and empirical analysis of the modern prison chaplaincy and prison chaplains' care for aging, dying, and dead prisoners in US and UK prisons from his latest book Prison Chaplains on the Beat in US and UK Prisons: Caring for Aging, Dying and Dead Prisoners. Aging, dying, and death reflect the plights of prisoners in the modern prisons of the United States and the United Kingdom. Prison chaplains are no strangers to these dilemmas.
