Monday, November 21, 2011

In the Chronicle of Higher Education's List of the "Top 40" Associate Institutions with the "most international students" BHCC was number 26, President Mary L. Fifield announced today. BHCC is the only community college in Massachusetts to make the "Top 40" List of Associate Institutions. The College's current international enrollment is 784, an increase of 30 students over the figure of 754 cited in the Chronicle's list. BHCC’s international students come from more than 90 countries and speak 75 different languages.

"We are delighted to earn this recognition," said Vilma Tafawa, Director of BHCC's International Center. Tafawa also said that the entire College benefits from having so many international students as their presence "enriches everyone" and makes us all believe in the reality of a global village.
