BHCC Wins Two National Marketing Communications Awards

Wednesday, April 1, 2020

The Bunker Hill Community College (BHCC) Integrated Marketing and Communications (IMC) division won two Paragon Awards from the National Council of Marketing and Public Relations (NCMPR).

The awards were announced via a Facebook Watch Party on Tuesday, March 31, 2020, that replaced the ceremony that was planned to take place at the national NCMPR “Magical. Memorable. Marketing.” conference earlier this month.

BHCC received a Gold Paragon Award for the College’s 2019-2021 Academic Catalog, and Silver Paragon Award in the Special Event Campaign category for marketing collateral created for the Center of Equity and Cultural Wealth’s 2019 Institute, “Power and Place: Valuing Cultural Wealth to Advance Equity in Higher Education.

“Great job presenting tons of information in a way that isn’t mind-numbing,” said an NCMPR judge of BHCC’s Academic Catalog. “Great use of color on course descriptions. Overall, beautifully organized and typeset. Loved that you included a schedule planner in the back for students, an element that is somehow missing from other catalogs.”

NCMPR’s prestigious Paragon Awards recognize outstanding achievement in design and communication at community and technical colleges. It’s the only national competition of its kind that honors excellence exclusively among marketing and PR professionals at two-year colleges. Winning entries, from large and small colleges from across the country and Canada, were awarded across 53 categories.
