Board Chair of Bunker Hill Community College Recognized at National Trustees' Conference

Jeanne-Marie Boylan, chair of the Bunker Hill Community College Board of Trustees, was presented with the 2010 Northeast Regional Trustee Leadership Award at the Annual Community College Leadership Congress of the Association of Community College Trustees (ACCT), held in Toronto, October 20-23rd. The Leadership Award recognizes a trustee whose contributions have affected “the total college program in the community, state or nation.”
ACCT is a non-profit educational organization representing more than 6,500 elected and appointed trustees who govern the 1,200 community, technical and junior colleges in the United States and beyond. Approximately 1,500 community college trustees, presidents, and other guests attended the ACCT Congress.
Chair Boylan serves on the Massachusetts Board of Higher Education. An expert on community college issues and governance, she has served as President of the Massachusetts Community College Trustees Association, and as Board member of the Association of Community College Trustees. She is currently a member of the Voluntary Framework of Accountability Steering Committee, a joint effort of the Association of Community College Trustees, the American Association of Community Colleges, and The College Board.
