This interactive session will introduce the core principles of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and explore how you can apply them in your teaching to better support all learners. By the end of this workshop, you will:

  • Have a foundational understanding of UDL and its practical applications in your courses.
  • Be familiar with the “Plus 1” approach as an easy way to integrate UDL into your curriculum.
  • Begin adapting one or more of your existing teaching and learning practices to more intentionally align with UDL.

  • Shape the conversations based on their interests, disciplines, and needs.
  • Explore productive struggle and decision-making around when (and when not) to integrate AI.
  • Leave with new ideas, strategies, and resources on AI in the classroom.
