What can you look forward to?
In the office of Student Leadership & Engagement, we strive to create an inclusive environment because we want everyone to feel welcome at Bunker Hill Community College! We understand how important the college experience is, and take great care to engage you from your very first day straight through until Commencement. In this section, you will discover some of the large-scale events we have throughout the year.
New Student Orientation
New students pursuing a degree at Bunker Hill Community College must complete the New Student Orientation Program. The orientation program at BHCC requires attendance at three events. Registration is required for either In-person or virtual options for all events. More information can be found here.
If you are a guest student not pursuing a degree at Bunker Hill, you do not need to complete the orientation program requirement. Please visit the Guest Students page to learn how to register for courses as a non-degree student.
Welcome Month
Each semester, Student Leadership & Engagement kicks off the start of classes with events designed to welcome you to the college and provide the most current information about everything happening at BHCC!
During the few weeks of fall and spring semesters, look for Student Engagement Leaders staffing "Ask Me Booths" across campus! They are there to answer your questions, help you navigate the campus, and make your initial days both festive and informative! You'll find information on college resources, student clubs, upcoming events, and even some giveaways!
SLE also hosts Club & Activities Fairs during Welcome Month! These fairs are an excellent way to see what's offered on campus and meet students with similar interests, helping you start to build your social and professional network at BHCC. Specific dates and times for each fair will be communicated to you through your BHCC email.
