BHCC will be open Saturdays January 7, 21, and 28, 2023, from 8:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. to offer services - in-person and virtually - for new and returning students.

BHCC is also open Monday-Friday to assist new and current students with applying to the college and registering for spring courses. Visit the webpage for each department for current hours and ways to connect.

Visit us to:

  • Apply for admission and drop off documentation (transcripts, etc.)
  • Speak to Admissions staff for help choosing your educational pathway
  • Apply for financial aid and get your billing and tuition payment questions answered
  • Get help completing your testing requirements the same day
  • Meet with an advisor to plan and register for classes - register early to get the classes you want at the times that best fit your schedule
  • Learn about the special programs, services and opportunities we provide

All students registering for on-campus courses or coming to campus for any reason must submit their COVID-19 vaccination card at https://www.bhcc.edu/covidvaccines/ 

Start Now Saturday Student Schedule 

8 a.m. - Student Check-In
Students can check into the event by going to the Student Central desk, which is located in the B Building Lobby. Check in ends at 1:30 p.m. Refreshments will be available in the B- Lobby and E- Lobby throughout the event.

8:30 a.m. - Placement Testing, B118
The Testing Office will be open 8:30 a.m. -1 p.m. to assist students with completing their placement testing requirement 

9 a.m. - FAFSA Assistance, B208
Students who need help with completing their FAFSA form should stop by anytime between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. for assistance.

9 a.m. - Information Technology, B-Lobby
Students can get help locating their BHCC credentials, logging into their BHCC email and other systems. These resources will be available 9 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. 

9 a.m. - Current BHCC Students-Attend Drop-In Advising and Registration, E174 
This session is for continuing (current) BHCC students only. The session is offered  9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for currently enrolled BHCC students who need help planning and registering for classes.  

9 a.m. - New Students Group Advising and Registration Session Option I, E235
Advising and Registration Session Option I, E235 This session starts at 9 a.m. and ends at 11 a.m. Students who are new to BHCC should arrive on time for the start of this group session. The session will be led by advisors and will teach students how to plan courses and register for them using BHCCSelfService. Placement testing must be completed prior to attending this session.

10:30 a.m. -Student Affairs Overview and Campus Tour
Come and learn about all student activities and resources available at BHCC. This session will also provide a tour of the campus.

11:30 a.m. - New Students Group Advising and Registration Session Option II, E235
This session starts at 11:30 a.m. and ends at 1:30 p.m. Students who are new to BHCC should arrive on time for the start of this group session. The session will be led by advisors and will teach students how to plan courses and register for them using BHCCSelfService. Placement testing must be completed prior to attending this session.

12 p.m. -Student Affairs Overview and Campus Tour
Come and learn about all student activities and resources available at BHCC. This session will also provide a tour of the campus.

2 p.m. - Start Now Saturday concludes and students depart campus.

Placement Testing Requirement

New BHCC Students should visit the Assessment webpage for a list of placement test waiver options.

To complete the placement testing requirement:

  • Complete the Guided Self-Placement for English 
  • Students in the majors listed below should take the Accuplacer math test.
    • Biological Sciences—Biotechnology Option
    • Biological Sciences—Medical Professions Option
    • Biology Transfer Option
    • Biomedical Engineering Option
    • Business Transfer Option
    • Chemistry Concentration
    • Data Analytics Option
    • Electrical Engineering Transfer Option
    • Engineering Transfer Option
    • Environmental Science
    • Information Technology Transfer Option
    • Mathematics Concentration
    • Object Oriented Computer Programming and Design (Certificate)
    • Physics Concentration
  • Register for the Accuplacer on campus or online.
  • All other majors should complete the Guided Self-Placement Math test.

Students Applying to Selective Health Sciences Program: Register to take the Accuplacer English and Math tests.
