Funding supports job-ready education in healthcare and IT fields.

Bunker Hill Community College (BHCC) has been awarded $132,005 through the Healey-Driscoll Administration’s Training Resources and Internships Network (TRAIN) grant program to expand workforce training in high-demand fields. The grant will support programs in Pharmacy Technician, Dental Assisting, Google IT, and Red Hat Operations Technician, offering unemployed and under-employed individuals the skills necessary to succeed in critical industry sectors.

Part of a larger $1.5 million investment distributed across all 15 Massachusetts community colleges, the TRAIN Implementation Grant aims to train over 500 students statewide. These funds will allow BHCC to deliver targeted, career-focused instruction and wraparound support services such as academic advising and job readiness coaching. The initiative underscores BHCC’s commitment to creating accessible pathways to employment and economic mobility for adult learners throughout the Greater Boston area.
