Exploration, Connection, and Discovery: BHCC Open House Inspires Future Students

On Thursday, April 10, 2025, BHCC welcomed more than 460 prospective students and their guests to a vibrant and engaging Admissions Open House offering opportunities to explore academic programs, student services, and hands-on classroom experiences.

Attendees were encouraged to create their own schedules while visiting the gymnasium to speak directly with deans and faculty from six academic pathways. Representatives from Student Services offered valuable guidance on admissions, financial aid, dual enrollment, and more. Visitors also had the opportunity to tour the Charlestown campus and capture memories at the 360-degree photo booth.

Breakout sessions and classroom demonstrations added an interactive element to the event. Presentations such as “Financially Empowered” and “Choosing Majors & Careers” offered practical advice on preparing for education and future careers. Visitors also engaged in classroom experiences—from engineering demonstrations in the Robotics Lab to poetry writing and medical imaging labs—that showcased the depth and diversity of BHCC’s offerings. The Application Lab remained open throughout the event, allowing students to receive immediate assistance with enrollment. Overall, the event fostered connection, learning, and excitement for the academic journey ahead at BHCC.
