BHCC President Pam Eddinger Receives 2023 SCI Idealist Award

BHCC President Pam Y. Eddinger was one of three 2023 SCI Idealist Awardees.

The award, presented by the non-profit Social Capital Inc. (SCI), was given on May 4th at District Hall Boston, where Natanja Craig Oquendo and Michael Curry were honored along with Eddinger. 

Pams and others posing for a picture at the SCI Idealist  eventSCI was founded in 2002 by Woburn, Massachusetts native David Crowley with a mission of strengthening communities by connecting diverse individuals and organizations through civic engagement initiatives. SCI leads initiatives around inclusive communities, health equity, youth leadership, and volunteering in Woburn and beyond. 

This event was part of the SCI Connect & Inspire series, a new name and format for the event that has been known for 15 years as the SCI Social Capitalist Luncheon. The events recognize leaders that exemplify the goals of SCI and bring people together.  

Remarks from the SCI team shared the impact of our organization, highlighted by current SCI AmeriCorps member Matthew Brown, who shared an emotional rendition of his journey through his SCI AmeriCorps service. The night’s honorees also gave words of encouragement, reflection, and inspiration.
