Tuesday, November 26, 2019
The Bunker Hill Community College (BHCC) Integrated Marketing and Communications (IMC) Division brought home awards in nine categories from the National College Marketing and Public Relations (NCMPR) District 1 Medallion Awards ceremony. The awards were announced Tuesday, November 12, at the organization’s District 1 Conference in Providence, Rhode Island.
The conference’s theme of “Small but Mighty” focused on idea-sharing with colleagues from other community colleges on methods for achieving high-impact results with limited resources. Members from the IMC division connected with peers on topics including trends in enrollment marketing, appealing to “Gen Z” (members of the population born between 1996 and 2010), best practices in short-format video production and social media and establishing brand recognition.
Among the nine accolades received by BHCC at the awards ceremony were three Gold Medallions in the categories of Specialty Publication (Material Consequences Art Gallery booklet), Special Event or Fundraising Campaign (Power and Place: Valuing Cultural Wealth to Advance Equity in Higher Education) and Magazine (Spring-Summer 2019 edition); four Silver Medallions in the categories of Logo Design (BHCC Athletics Bulldogs Mascot, in conjunction with BHCC Athletics), Microsite (Programs of Study Curriculum Maps), Specialty Publication (Shango Unchained Art Gallery booklet), and Flyer (BHCC Fast Facts flyer); and two Bronze Medallions in the categories of Folder (BHCC-branded folder) and Print Advertisement Series (Discover BHCC campaign).
