BHCC Celebrates International Education Week

Bunker Hill Community College (BHCC) celebrated International Education Week, November 18-22, 2019, with a series of workshops and events celebrating the benefits of international education and exchange.

Highlights included Maddua Huacuja’s “Open the Way” exhibition dispelling misperceptions about migrants, a book display highlighting study abroad experiences, a presentation of folk dance and music from India, Colombia, Indonesia and South Africa, and celebrations of foods and tea from around the world, as well as a workshop on applying for a U.S. Passport and an infosession on the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship

A joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education, International Education Week is part of the College’s efforts to promote programs that prepare Americans for a global environment and attract future leaders from abroad to study, learn and exchange experiences.
