Each year, BHCC students are accepted to some of the most selective colleges in the nation. But to get accepted, students need to take steps to challenge themselves and strategically plan. Students who maintain high academic achievement are encouraged to apply to selective institutions. This workshop will focus on the first two stages of transferring - Planning and Exploring - with emphasis on increasing your competitiveness for admissions. Topics will include searching for colleges, scholarships, co-curricular involvement, networking, and college transfer essays.

This session is designed to give you the time and space to focus.Join us and representatives from all four UMASS colleges to complete the MassTransfer application! MassTransfer colleges include UMASS Boston, UMASS Amherst, UMASS Lowell, UMASS Dartmouth, Bridgewater State University, Salem State University, and all the State Universities and UMASS Campuses.You'll have access to a quiet workspace where you can work independently on your applications. A transfer advisor will be available to help with questions, offer guidance on where to begin, and point you toward helpful resources.While this isn't a formal workshop with step-by-step instruction, it's a great opportunity to get support with those tricky or unclear parts of the process.
