VIRTUAL Transfer 101 - Preparing for Selective Colleges
Each year, BHCC students are accepted to some of the most selective colleges in the nation. But to get accepted, students need to take steps to challenge themselves and strategically plan. Students who maintain high academic achievement are encouraged to apply to selective institutions. This workshop will focus on the first two stages of transferring - Planning and Exploring - with emphasis on increasing your competitiveness for admissions. Topics will include searching for colleges, scholarships, co-curricular involvement, networking, and college transfer essays.

Program for Post-Traditional Students: The REAL Program provides a full-time Tufts undergraduate education for adults seeking a Bachelor's degree. The program is intended for students who are 24 years of age or older, parents, married, veterans, or currently serving in the U.S. Armed Forces.
Financial Aid and Scholarships: Tufts proudly meets 100% of demonstrated financial need for all students ensuring that financial barriers don’t stand in the way of opportunity.
Online, correspondence, or distance-learning courses will not be accepted for Tufts credit, except for online courses taken during specific terms. However, grades from these courses will still be factored into GPA calculations.

Program for Post-Traditional Students: The Eli Whitney Students Program (EWSP) is designed specifically for individuals without a bachelor’s degree who have been out of high school for at least five years. Eli Whitney students are military veterans, entrepreneurs, community and social activists, healthcare workers, artists and athletes. Some have devoted themselves to raising families. Eli Whitney students take the same in-person classes as other undergraduates and have access to the same majors, faculty, extracurricular activities, research opportunities and international experiences. The program’s flexibility allows students to enroll in classes full or part time, and many of its advisors have experience guiding adult students.

Program for Post-Traditional Students: In addition, Smith offers The Ada Comstock Scholars Program, enables women of nontraditional college age to complete a bachelor of arts degree either part-time or full-time, with flexible options for course loads, special academic advising, career counseling and housing. Ada Comstock Scholars have come to Smith from all parts of the United States and as far as Asia and Africa. Ada students attend the same classes and fulfill the same requirements as all other Smith undergraduates.
