New and Current Students - Get help with Applying, Course Registration, Completing the FAFSA, Student Payment and More!
About the Start Now Events
During Start Now, new students will complete two mandatory workshops:
- Financially Empowered Workshop - students learn about resources to pay for college including free community college programs MassEducate and MassReconnect. (45 minutes)
- Advising Workshop - students learn how to plan and register for their courses. (2 hours)

The purpose of this group is to acquire and practice standardized American English, while at the same time learning how to navigate life at the College as an English Language Learner and/or immigrant. We will talk about the best language learning methods, along with strategies for dealing with coursework, professors, classmates, registration, transfer and career planning, financial issues, and much more. We discuss many of the challenges of life at the College, as well the ways to take advantage of the many opportunities that exist at Bunker Hill as well. The group is open to all students.
Addressing Environmental Health with GIS – Mapping the Patterns and Relationships of Human-Environment Interactions
In this talk, Theodros Woldeyohannes will give an introduction and overview of GIS, background on his journey into the GIS field, and illustrate the applications of geospatial modeling with specific examples in the areas of environmental monitoring and health.
