Know Your Rights - A Workshop and Discussion on Immigration
Immigrant Student Support Services (ISSS) invites you to join us for Know Your Rights: A Workshop and Discussion on Immigration, featuring Jessica Chicco, Staff Attorney from the MIRA Coalition, who is a leading expert on immigration policies with more than a decade of working with immigrants and immigrant communities.
Whether you’re a U.S. citizen, a green cardholder, a student on a visa, seeking asylum, have TPS, DACA, or are undocumented, you have rights.
The training will provide an overview of your rights, updates on immigration policies, information on where to get legal services, and best practices for interacting with immigration law enforcement at home, while driving, and in public spaces.
This event is open to all students, faculty, and staff who want to learn and ask questions. At the end, materials and resources will be distributed in English, Spanish, Haitian Creole, and Portuguese.
Lunch will be served at 12:30 p.m., and the training will start at 1 p.m.
