Welcome to Academic Innovation & Distance Education (AIDE) Faculty & Staff Support!

Our department is dedicated to helping faculty and staff engage with innovative approaches to teaching and learning. Here are ways we can help you!

Drop-in Support Services

Staff in the Innovation Lab are happy to provide support for teaching and learning questions. Our team is especially prepared to help troubleshoot your Moodle or ePortfolio course or organization page. You are also welcome to use our printer (up to 10 pages) or scanner.

Workshops & Trainings

AIDE offers a series of workshops and training for faculty and staff. Visit our “Workshops & Trainings” for our updated list of opportunities. If you have a topic of interest, or if you would like to facilitate a training, send us an email: aide@bhcc.mass.edu.

Moodle Support

AIDE manages the Learning Management System for the BHCC community. If you would like a Moodle shell for your course, or you are interested in learning more about Moodle’s tools and resources, visit our Moodle Support page. Specific technical problems can often be resolved by emailing us at onlinehelp@bhcc.mass.edu.

If you are teaching a course in the traditional classroom and would like to use Moodle as a supplement to your course, please use the link on the Moodle homepage to request a web-enhanced Moodle course space.  This link remains in the AIDE Faculty Information Center course so that you can use it every semester. We manage these requests with the form and not by email.

ePortfolio

AIDE supports our ePortfolio platform, Digication. You can learn more about ePortfolio by visiting our ePortfolio Resources page.

Open Educational Resources

AIDE supports faculty and staff who are interested in applying open education pedagogy to their teaching and learning activities.
